Brazilian Arabica Coffee Bean


Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer and produces around 25% of the world supply of coffee. Eighty percent of this is Arabica. This Brazilian coffee is produced from plants that belong to the botanical species Coffea Arabica.

The arabica is an evergreen, typically large bush with dark green, oval shaped leaves that can grow as tall as 20 feet. It is usually kept at a height of about 2-3 metres for ease of harvesting. The arabica trees produce their first crop approximately 3 years after planting and can continue to grow fruits for about 40 years......

Colombian coffee production ranks second to that of Brazil, producing about 12% of the world's total production.

Central Colombia is trisected from north to south by three cordilleras, or mountain ranges. The best coffee are produced in the central and eastern cordilleras. The primary coffees of the central cordilleras are Medellin, Armenia and Manizales......
